Desert Planters' Objectives
The objectives of Desert Planters of Ridgecrest are:
- To teach others how to garden in this challenging climate, to learn from each other what has been successful in our gardens.
- To learn to use our precious water wisely, to have fun and enjoy gardening.
- To provide trees and other plants to beautify our City and the Indian Wells Valley while honoring our Veterans and First Responders.

Publications
The Desert Planters of Ridgecrest publishes a newsletter DESERT TRUMPET (10 issues per year). In addition, the Club publishes a garden book, a National Award Winner, MONTH BY MONTH GARDENING by Evelyn Callaway, Revised by Kathleen Pratt. This is a helpful publication for high desert gardening, it is available for a donation of $12.00, plus $5.00 for mailing. Membership
We have 35 active members in the Desert Planters of Ridgecrest Garden Club. Membership is open to all who are interested; there are no prerequisites. Members have the opportunity to serve as chairmen and officers, from the local to state and national level. With full membership you receive:- The Desert Trumpet monthly newsletter
